Comparing Candidates
After posting an opening and collecting candidate information for consideration, comparing those candidates helps you narrow the list and find the best fit for the opening. The Prescore page is designed to assist in candidate comparisons.
- From the Dashboard page, select all the candidates you want to compare by checking their associated boxes in the Select column. If you don’t see a candidate you want to include, you can add them using the Add a Candidate to This List button.
- After you mark the check boxes of all the candidates you want to compare, select an option from the Select Job Family drop-down menu. Since each job family has its own requirements and preferred personality traits, the choice of job family determines how candidates’ survey responses are measured.
-
Click Continue. This displays the Job Family Prescore page. The candidates you have selected are listed here, with the scores from their assessment responses broken down by category.
From here, you may begin your candidate analysis. Their scores are broken down by category, and displayed in one of two formats (Summary view or Detailed view), and you can sort the category scores in ascending or descending order by clicking the appropriate column headings.
This page can display scores in two formats: Summary view and Detailed view. In Summary view, scores are broken down into three broader categories:
-
Job Performance. Rates how well the candidate is prepared to handle the duties of the job.
-
People Orientation. Evaluates the candidate’s “people skills”- interpersonal communication and collaborative aptitude.
-
Task Orientation. How well the candidate is able to focus on and complete their responsibilities, and handle additional tasks as they may arise.
Detailed view, however, takes these three categories and further breaks them down into ten specific categories:
- • Achievement
- • Conscientiousness
- • Emotional Evenness
- • Openness to Change
- • Self Confidence
- • Innovative Thinking
- • Multitasking
- • Self-Development
- • Customer Orientation
- • Critical Thinking
Clicking Group Development Report aggregates scores based on the responses of the selected group of candidates, and generates a comprehensive report of strengths and recommended opportunities based on the group’s average scores.
Note: The group must contain at least five different candidates to generate a report.
If you need to take this information with you in an offline format, clicking Export List exports the Candidates list to an Excel spreadsheet file, while clicking Print List enables you to print the table. Clicking Start Over clears the list of candidates from the Job Family, and returns you to the Dashboard, where you may select a new group of candidates to compare.
