Managing Standards

Standards and Directives are industry wide mandates issued by the governing bodies in the Healthcare industry. In NetCompetency, you can use these Standards and Directives as a basis for the design of the competencies that you will assign to your employees in order to ensure that they meet the minimum standards of operation.

Use the Filters to find a specific Standard or browse a smaller group.

Locate: Select a value type from the first drop-down menu, a delimiter from the second drop-down and typed a relevant value into the text box.
Type:

Select a Type from the drop down menu to perform a search fro a particular type of directive.
  • Click Find to perform a search based on the criteria entered into the filters.
  • Click Reset to reset the filters to the default settings.
  • Click Add to open a form where you can enter information to add a new Standard to the system.
Title: Displays the Title of the Standard. Click on a title displayed in this column to open the Edit Standard Form to make changes to the Standard.
Competency: If the standard listed is associated with a competency in the system, an ico appears in this column. Click the icon to reveal competency associations in a popup window.
Description: Displays the description, or portion of a description that has been entered to further explain the Standard. Hover your cursor over an entry in this column to reveal the complete description in a pop-up over the text.
Type: Displays the category, or type, that best describes the standard, depending on the source for the standard.
Copy: Click a link in this column to make a copy of the standard in line with the link. The copied standard opens in the Edit Standard form.
Delete: Click the icon listed in this column to delete the Standard from the system. Only users with administrative privileges may delete standards.

Click Export to save the grid to a format usable outside of symplr Learning.

  • Choose whether to export All records to export all records from all pages within the active grid or Only the currently displayed records to export the current page of the active grid.
  • Choose your export format from the available options.
  • Click Export to retrieve the records in the specified format.
  • Click Close to exit the Export Options window without exporting records.
