Pre-Assessments
Some curriculum may include a pre-assessment that allows you to take a test in order to fulfill the requirements of multiple courses at one time, without having to review and progress through each individual courses. Passing a pre-assessment allows you to quickly fulfill the requirements of the curriculum without spending time reviewing material that may already be familiar to you.
- Click the Preassessment button, located on the course listing on your To Do List.The button also shows in the Course Details page, in the lower-right corner.
- Any courses that have been assigned as Pre or Post-Assessments are listed in the next window that opens. If the course is only associated with one pre-assessment, or after you have selected the curriculum pre-assessment you would like to take, a new window opens, displaying a list of courses that form the base of the material for the questions.

Click Begin Test to move to the first question. Proceed though the pre-assessment test by answering each question, using the green arrow icons or the question number drop-down menu to navigate between each one. A progress bar at the bottom of the screen shows how many questions have been answered, and how many are left to complete.
Exit the test at any time by clicking the Exit Test button. You are prompted to decide to either exit without saving, or have the system save your progress so you can return again later. Clicking Clear Answer clears the answer of the question currently displayed on screen.

Once you have answered all questions in the test, click Grade Test. A prompt appears asking you to confirm that you would like the test graded. Click Grade on this prompt to proceed.

Your results are displayed on the following screen. This screen provides you with the details of your attempt, including whether you passed or failed the pre-assessment.
- Clicking Return to symplr Learning exits the pre-assessment. Any courses where you passed the pre-assessment are listed in your Completions list, along with the grade. The courses for which you did not pass a pre-assessment will remain in your To Do list.
