Appraisals
Appraisals in symplr Performance provide the ability for managers and employees to rate workplace performances based on the job description forms associated with their position. These appraisals are conducted on varying intervals depending on your company's own policy.
Appraisals provide a measurement of employee performance based on the benchmark criteria pre-established for their job. This differs from the 360 Review, which focuses more on the skills and contributions an employee provides to the workplace and their co-workers.
Manager appraisals are conducted to rate and comment on each of their individual employee's performance throughout the duration of the period. Employees conduct self appraisals and multi-rater appraisals to share their own beliefs and estimations on how their own— or their co-workers'— accomplishments stack up to what was expected of them throughout the evaluation period.
There are three types of appraisals in symplr Performance:
- Manager appraisal. This is the basic employee appraisal form, based on a job description. Managers complete this evaluation form for all their direct-report employees.
- Self appraisal. Self appraisals are completed by employees in reference to their own performance. Self appraisals are reviewed with the employee's manager.
- Multi-rater appraisal. As part of 360-degree feedback in symplr Performance, multi-rater appraisals are completed by selected employees. Managers select which users conduct appraisals about their employees.
