Employee Profile
The Employee Profile page lists basic information about each user in the system, including permission groups and manager information.
Employee profile pages are divided into sections as follows:
The Employee Info section lists the basic information about the selected employee, such as Position, Manager, Hire/Start dates, etc.
It is important to remember that the demographic information is primarily controlled by your HRIS feed. Information will be automatically updated by the feed unless you protect the information from the feed.
- The employee account can be locked or unlocked by simply clicking on the lock icon next to the employee name.
- The refuse to sign function can be enabled or disabled by simply clicking on the little hand icon next to the employee name. The refuse to sign option allows managers and administrator to close out tasks that employees will not sign.
- Facility, department and position information can be changed by using the drop down lists. These lists are populated from your HRIS system and cannot be managed in symplr Performance.
- The manager can only be changed using the Assign Manager feature.
- The employee id can be changed but please bear in mind this is the employees unique identifier.
- The Hire Date, Start Date, Status Change Date are all received from your feed and can be changed in symplr Performance but these changes must be protected in order to be maintained in symplr Performance.
- The Review Date can be sent in the feed or maintained in symplr Performance and also protected as needed.
- The protect review date from feed check box will only maintain the review date changes for that employee.
- The protect employee info checkbox will protect all employee demographic data from the HRIS feeds.
Permission Groups determine the actions a user is able to perform in symplr Performance. Checking the various groups in a user's profile assigns them to that group.
This section allows you to maintain the employee’s username and password.
The username can be sent in the HRIS feed or can be created by the user during registration. Administrators can view and change usernames as needed.
The password cannot be viewed or changed by the administrator. The Expire Password button allows the administrator to force the user to change their password. The Unregister User button forces the user to recreate their user profile (username, password and security questions).
All information in this section comes from the HRIS feed files. Information changed in this section should reflect the feed or it will revert back to what is received on the feed.
