Assigning a manager

Managers can be assigned to an employee or a group of employees. This can be done for standard managers as well as compensation managers.

Note: This feature should only be used if manager assignments are not being sent in the HRIS feed files. Assigning managers in symplr Performance while also sending manager assignments in the feed will create duplication of manager assignments.

  1. From the User Maintenance page, click the Assign Manager button.
  2. Select if you wish to assign a manager to a Facility/Department/Position or just an Employee.
  3. Browse the company hierarchy or use the available search fields to locate the desired entity.
  4. Make a selection from the Choices and use the arrow buttons to move the selection to the Selection area.
  5. Click the Next button.
  6. Use the same hierarchy navigation or search fields to locate the manager to assign to your selection.
  7. Select a manager from the Choices area.
  8. Click the Save button.

Clicking the Save button assigns the manager to the selected entity.

  1. From the User Maintenance page, click the Assign Compensation Manager button.
  2. Select the desired compensation cycle from the drop-down list.
  3. Select if you wish to assign a manager to a Facility/Department/Position or just an Employee.
  4. Browse the company hierarchy or use the available search fields to locate the desired entity.
  5. Make a selection from the Choices and use the arrow buttons to move the selection to the Selection area.
  6. Click the Next button.
  7. Use the same hierarchy navigation or search fields to locate the manager to assign to your selection.
  8. Select a manager from the Choices area.
  9. Click the Save button.

Clicking the Save button assigns the compensation manager to the selected entity.
