Selective Job Broadcast Retirement
The third-party vendor that provides the Selective Job Broadcast functionality for sympr Talent Sourcing has informed us that support for the feature is ending on April 3, 2024.
Selective Job Broadcast provided a way to broadcast individual jobs to multiple niche/specialty/local and or job boards at once. Though this retirement does remove existing functionality from Talent Sourcing, there are alternate methods available for posting jobs to ensure you're still reaching the right candidates.
Here's a few important items that are not changing with the retirement of Selective Job Broadcast:
-
No impact on the job boards that are set up to consume the jobs XML feed from Talent Sourcing (e.g. Auto Job Broadcast).
-
Ability to access historical job broadcast information remains unchanged.
Why are we making this change?
symplr has been informed by our third-party provider for Talent Sourcing that the ability to manually post jobs to job boards using their service is being retired.
When will this change occur?
Retirement for the Selective Job Broadcast service is scheduled for April 3, 2024.
How can we prepare for this change?
Review and share this information with your team to ensure everyone knows what's happening with the apps they use. For example, with the removal of Selective Job Broadcast, users will no longer see or have access to associated features such as New Broadcast, Update Broadcast , Unbroadcast, and Delete Broadcast.
Alternative methods for posting jobs include:
-
Partner with JobTarget through symplr Recruiting. Submit requests for job board integrations to support@jobtarget.com. Requests are free of charge and are typically turned around in 48-72 hours.
-
XML files. An XML file can be used for all externally-posted jobs if your vendor is able to support this method. Please contact your vendor for more information.
You can even continue to track analytics on the job boards by adding the tracking code (BID) to the job URL. Contact talentsupport@symplr.com for assistance with XML files and adding tracking codes.
