Pre-defined Roles

Every symplr Recruiting system includes six pre-defined roles, each with a set of permissions tailored to their typical job function within the system:

  • Recruiter. The Recruiter role has wide-ranging access to the system due to their heavy involvement in the complete job posting and hiring process. Though limited by their Area of Responsibility and Position in Hierarchy, this role has full access to requisitions and applicants.
  • Hiring Manager. The Hiring Manager role is focused on applicants since their main responsibility is to review candidates to fill positions. Access to requisitions is limited.
  • Requisition Approver. The Requisition Approver role has a primary job function of reviewing and approving submitted requisitions. This role has no access to applicants.
  • Onboarding Router. Coming soon!
  • Administrator. Administrators have full access to the system and can perform any function in all areas. Their access to Requisitions and Applicants is still limited by their Area of Responsibility and Position in Hierarchy.
  • General. The General role provides view-only access to Requisitions, Job Postings, and Applicants. It also has full access to the Reports tab.
