Requisition Status

As a requisition moves through the process of creation, approval and fulfillment in symplr Recruiting, the status is updated to reflect its current position in the workflow.

symplr Recruiting uses a color coding system to help you quickly identify the status of a requisition. These color-coded statuses appear on the main Requisition and Requisition Detail pages.

  • Draft. The requisition has been created, but the Hiring Manager has yet to send it out for review and approval.
  • In process. The requisition has been sent out for review, and is in the process of being approved by necessary Requisition Approvers.
  • Rejected. A subset of In process; the requisition has been reviewed and rejected by an approver. A rejected requisition can be re-submitted by the creator after necessary updates have been made.
  • Recalled. The requisition has been "taken back" by an HR user. It is removed from the approval process, but can be re-submitted after necessary updates have been made.
  • Approved. The requisition has been approved by all necessary approvers.
  • Active - Not Posted. This requisition is one that has been approved by all reviewers, but has yet to be posted to a job board or career site (or the posting was removed).
  • Active - Posted. A requisition moves to this status once it is placed on a career site or job board.
  • Filled. This means an applicant has been hired for the requisition, and the position is no longer open.
  • Hold. This status suspends all potential actions for a requisition. A requisition may be placed on Hold at any point in its lifecycle.
  • Canceled. Canceling a requisition permanently halts all actions on a requisition. The position will not be filled. A requisition may be canceled at any point in its lifecycle. A cancellation may be undone by picking Update Status from the Take Action drop-down menu, and selecting a different status.
