Candidates
A candidate is a person who is in consideration for a promotion or job opening in the organization. Candidates may consist of internal employees or external applicants who have taken the Staff Assessment survey (or have been invited to complete it).
In addition to promotions and job hiring, assessments also have the capacity to help determine the best skills for a candidate to work on improving for their own professional development.
The Candidate list is displayed upon logging into the Staff Assessment system, The candidate list, by default, is sorted by date, so the newest candidates show at the top of the list. From here, you can click a name to view their Details page and work with their survey, run development or selection reports, and work with their information however necessary.
The Home and Candidates pages both show the status of the most recent candidates in the system. Both pages offer some basic modification options.
Using the Search field, you can query and pull up the records of a specific candidate, or all candidates who were entered into the system during a specific date (or date range). In addition to the basic information, their survey status is displayed alongside their name, telling you at-a-glance where their survey stands.
The candidates’ survey status is represented by an icon in the left-most column of the Candidates table. The icon present tells you whether a candidate has completed a survey, if it has been graded (by generating a report), and (if it has been graded) the category of job the report was tailored to.

From the Home page, candidates may be marked as Restricted or Hired. If these settings need to be changed, all you need to do is click the check box under each respective column, and then click Update at the bottom of the page. A confirmation displays as a green banner across the top of the page letting you know your modifications are saved.
In the Applicants section, the Status column at the end of the table may also be edited. If this setting needs to be changed, all you need to do is click the drop-down list, select the new status, and then click Update at the bottom of the table. A confirmation displays as text across the top of the page, letting you know your modifications are saved.
Warning: Deleting a candidate erases their entire record from the system. Once deleted, this information cannot be recovered. There is no confirmation dialog which asks for confirmation when clicking Delete, so tread carefully!
