Interface Basics

The navigation bar found at the top of the screen in Staff Assessment contains all the necessary links for accessing the various areas and features of the system. Each option is there to provide you with an easy way to utilize the features you need. These items are displayed based on system-wide permissions, so every one of these options may not necessarily be available to you.

Navigation bar areas

  1. Available areas. The main items in the navigation bar allow you to access different features throughout Staff Assessment. Permission to view and modify these items are controlled by system-wide permission sets, so you might not see all the options shown here.
  2. User menu. The user menu is found in the tab with your name on it. This menu contains the system's Log Out link.
  3. Help menu. The Help and Release Notes options under this menu item launch the online help system in a new browser window or tab. The selected option determines which page of the online help system is displayed once opened.
  4. Inline help. The Inline help icon icon opens the inline help window for the page you're currently viewing. These windows provide smaller chunks of help material so you can quickly take care of business without having to open the full help system to find the answers you need.
  5. Breadcrumbs. This displays the name and location of the page you are viewing. The section and page names are clickable, so you can navigate back to the "upper" level of the section you're examining by clicking it, if needed.
