Editing a Requisition

Users with necessary privileges have the ability to make updates to existing requisitions in the system.

  1. From the main Requisitions page, click the link for the requisition under the "Position Title" column. This will open the Req Detail tab on the Requisition Detail page. The requisition form automatically opens in edit mode.

Note: If you do not have the necessary privileges to edit a requisition, the Req Details tab displays in read-only mode.

Note: If the selected requisition is in a "Draft" status, the requisition creation wizard automatically opens to the Enter Req Details step. From there you can continue the requisition creation process in the wizard as described in this topic.

  2. Make the necessary updates to the available fields on the requisition form.
  3. Click the Submit for Approval button to send the requisition to the user selected in the Approvals section.

You can also click the Save button if you do not want to submit the requisition for approval yet.

Note: Only requisitions with a status of "Draft", "Recalled" and "Rejected" will have the Submit for Approval button. Requisitions in all other states will only show a Save button.

Once the Submit for Approval or Save button is clicked, the page reloads and displays a message stating the requisition was successfully saved.

If Submit for Approval is selected, the user chosen as the next reviewer receives an email notification about the requisition that requires their approval.
