Reviewing an Applicant
Applicants in symplr Recruiting are reviewed by both recruiters and hiring managers. A recruiter initially reviews applications as they are submitted for specific job postings. The recruiter then passes selected applications along to the hiring manager associated with the posting for their review.
An applicant review performed by a recruiter is nothing more than viewing an application submitted to a job posting to determine if the applicant meets the necessary requirements.
This review is conducted by viewing applications submitted to a specific requisition. Recruiters can access the applications straight from the Dashboard, or they can perform a search on the Applicants page to narrow down the list of applications, so they only see the ones they are interested in reviewing.
Managers conduct applicant reviews when they have received the task from a recruiter. Often, recruiters request a response to a message about an applicant (in the form of a message and/or assigning a task) so they know the manager has reviewed the information.
After a manager reviews an applicant, the next step is usually asking the recruiter to schedule further interviews, or rejecting the client from consideration.
A manager may also send the candidate (along with any desired supporting documents) to another manager for review. This uses the same process as the Send Application to Manager action available to Recruiters.
After all necessary managers review the applicant, the next step usually involves asking the recruiter to schedule further interviews, or rejecting the client from consideration.
Note: Hiring Managers must have the Manager Notification option enabled in the Applicant Management permission settings to use this feature.
