Courses
Courses are specific instructional modules that cover a specific topic. Courses may also sometimes refer to eLearning, or self-paced instructional modules that cover a specific topic.
eLearning is completed entirely on the computer. There is no interaction with an instructor or any fellow learners, and any grading or scoring is automatically handled by the software.
You can conduct the following actions with courses:
- Enroll in a course. You may browse available eLearning courses and sign up for them via the Learning Opportunities (Enroll) page.
- Drop a course. If you need to remove yourself from a course roster.
- Pre-Tests. Some courses include a pre-test that allows you to take a test in order to fulfill the requirements of the course. Passing the pre-test may allow you to more quickly fulfill the requirements of the course.
- Pre Assessments. Some courses include a pre-assessment that allows you to take a test in order to fulfill the requirements of multiple courses at a time. Passing the pre-assessment may allow you to more quickly fulfill the requirements of the curriculum.
- Preview a Course. Some courses allow you to review the course's instructional materials for a short time before officially enrolling.
- Launch a course. Launch eLearning courses from your To Do List by clicking the Launch button and proceeding with the course material form there.
- Take a test. You must pass any tests in order to prove you have acquired the necessary skills and knowledge from the course material.
- View certificates. View certifications of your demonstrated competencies.
- View course information. You may view the courses you are enrolled in and print your schedule.
